You really want to check the rules at your local track before you go through the effort...

A definate no-no for the Steet and Heavy classes at my track. Does make the car easier to launch. Track officials don't let you "launch" off a button and made the guy next to me remove it "at once". This was in the 3rd round and midway thru the season.

i dont bracket race the car except at special events such as m8 etc. i was thinking of trying to do it with one on the rear instead of two. you really dont need a front one. A line lock does exactally what the name inplies, it locks the line. It can push the fluid to the calipers and than close the line (As in a front line lock) or it can be used to close the line to the rear brakes before the pedal is pushed to hold fluid away from the calipers. The main reason im thinkin this is not to make it easier to do a burn out. but to make life easier on my parts (i.e. brakes, posi unit, etc) im just afraid that with to many burnouts with the rear brakes applied im putting more load on one axel more that the other.( cause theres no telling if both calipers are holding at EXACTALLY the same pressure.) and thats going to put a lot of undew stress on the clutches in the posi. Just an off handed idea. thanks for the input. prorac1. Oh, and p.s. if you wire it to your horn button, theres little to no way the starter will see you launching off a button.
