Sorry if I may come off dorky!! But I am pretty excited. Last week I posted my new bests since the Hot Cam install!! Well they are getting better!! Tonight at Route 66 I ran a 12.96 @ 106.55 mph!! I was pumped!! It seems this car is still getting faster since the project! It was in the 90's today & very humid. I definately think this fall the car will hit the 12.8's with more MPH when the air is thinner & cooler!!

Congrats. Feels good don't it? When the temp drops in to the 60's you can expect at least 12.7's and three more MPH. At least that is what my car would do going from 90 deg to 60 deg.

Good job!

Throw a 2800-3000 stall converter in and say hello to low, low 12's

Get a Converter, you will see AT LEAST 12.5, but I would expect low/mid 12's with traction.

Congrats!!!!

Thanks Guys! I am saving as I type for a 3200 to 3600 stall. I don't think I wan't to go lower than 3200. Will the stall also help my trap speeds ? I think it would getting the car up there.

The stall will mainly help your ET's. Your Mph will stay about the same.

Hey man. You might want to look into that stall a lil more carefully. I see you have a 94. And I'm going to assume you still have obd1. If all this is still true. Ob1 cars really don't like stalls above like 2800. There are a couple posts about it in the advanced tech section. With a high stall like that the computer doesn't shift from 1st to 2nd. I don't think there is an absolute fix for the obd1 cars yet. I haven't been around here for a lil bit. But I do beleive this all is still true. Just trying to give heads up to ya man.

Thanks '94irocz for the heads up. I am aware of issues bit it seems to be hit & miss. I think that is why no solution yet. Also I heard if you manually shift it it won't happen. I know that PI converters give you a free stall change once I believe. We'll see when the time comes.

Good Run.. What did your 60's look like?? Do you have any tuning w/ that cam?? No offense but for a cam'd LT1 i would expect no less than 110mph even in this ****ty weather.. i'm thinking.. anyone agree??? in 94% Humidity i trap 106 or so..sometimes less somtime's more.. I'd look into your tuning a lil' more closely and most def. get a Converter.. LT1's tend to like the Yank ST3000's from what i hear If you have any more question's feel free to drop me a line.. hopefully get you going in the right direction.

My 60's are in the 1.82 - 1.9 range. With me in it it weighs 3695# It feels strong & I have tuning from PCMforless. Someday I may get a dyno tune. The humidity was 89%. We'll see.

I will not agree that a Cammed LT1 car should be over 110, I am just turning 109 at best, but I think I know what the issue is and am working on it.

Get a stall!! Vig 2800 or a ST3500 from Yank, as long as you dont break stall it at the line you will be fine. Just leave off idle, yes, those TCs are expensive but you will not believe the improvements. I had a crappy TC at first and hated it.

Congrats!! The feeling of getting into the 12's is the best I have had. It even beats getting into the 11's as getting into the 12's takes a lot less money!!

12's signify that you have a genuinely fast street car!!

Congrats on the new times!!! I agree with the others, you wouldn't believe how good a stall feels. I have a Vig 2800, LOVE IT. I'm with you on the dyno tune, I need one too.
