Have I ever said I love bracket racing? I do.
Went to a Friday Fun Night at Cordova, IL just last night. Ran the trophy class. Last night musta been my night. The air was real sh*t last night. Couldn't bust out of the 14s early on. Thought something was wrong with my car, but I had a friend in an 11.80 Nova that was running 12.07 so I felt better about running so damn slow. Anyway, I've been really enjoyin bracket racing lately. Before tonight, I was out first or second round. Not last night. I had a blast and went out 4th round, but hell, made it to the quarterfinals.

I got lucky on this run, the car I was running against had a delay box. I've never had the rush of a fast car like that zip right by me at the line either. On to round 2!

This one was super close at the strip, my friends watching at the finish line said he was maybe a foot in front of me.
3rd Round
I get a bye run, and I'm REALLY glad I did.

Heh,...had that been against a car, it would've been real tough to judge at the line if I was going to break out or not. So I'm really glad this bye run happened.
4th Round

Talk about CLOSE. That guy was extremely experienced. When I got back to the pits, my friend with the 11.80 second Nova told me he heard the other guy's name and just said "Uh oh", yea, one of those.
He really jammed on the brakes and for some reason I let out. Had I kept in it, I might've ran a 13.94 and made it a lot closer. Same friend said it took a lil' bit for the win light to come on. Sounds like we almost confused it.
Regardless, being that the race was within NINE TEN-THOUSANDTHS of a second, I didn't care that I lost. I was still happy as a pig wrapped in sh*t that I got so far. After going rounds,...I am so addicted to this, it isn't even funny.
Comments are welcome.
P.S. - If someone knows how to type up timeslips on this thing without f*cking up the spacing, lemme know.

Do you have any idea how much .0009 is in inches at 100mph? That's like 1/2 of an inch. Good racing.

Probably be one of the closest races I'll ever have too. Thanks for the comment.
