First track times in my new car...

I went out to No Problems Raceway outside Baton Rouge on Friday night. I only got three runs in, but I am not unhappy about the results. This was the first time I had taken a manual tranny car to the track. Here you go:

1st Run:
R/T: .715
60: 2.266
330: 6.042
1/8: 9.049
MPH: 82.10
1000: 11.600
1/4: 13.760
MPH: 104.19

2nd Run:
R/T: .928 <--- I wasnt really ready for this one...
60: 2.232
330: 5.924
1/8: 8.904
MPH: 82.60
1000: 11.447
1/4: 13.595
MPH: 105.29

3rd Run:
R/T: .658
60: 2.227
330: 5.991
1/8: 8.989
MPH: 81.44
1000: 11.558
1/4: 13.914 <---- I redlined and missed a shift towards the
MPH: 90.10 <-----1000ft and coasted the rest of the way...

I am not unhappy at all for my first time with a manual tranny car. It is still bone stock anyway and I had over half a tank of gas and didnt strip the car of anything...

Well, you did better than me. My first time at the track ... EVER ... was last week and I managed to pull these times:

1st Pass
R/T -- 1.21 <----- first time at the tree, wasn't ready
60' -- 2.514
ET -- 14.137
MPH -- 99.38

2nd Pass
R/T -- .586 <---- That's getting better
60' -- 2.427
ET -- 13.955
MPH -- 104.35

3rd Pass
R/T -- .501 <----- almost a redlight ..... almost
60' -- 2.356
ET -- 13.944
MPH -- 103.81

4th Pass
R/T -- .745 <---- don't know where that came from
60' -- 2.287
ET -- 13.817
MPH -- 104.05

My trap speed is good, so I've just got to work on my 60' times. The car had a full tank of gas and wasn't stripped of any weight. I didn't even lower the tire pressure.

Those times are good, I have seen chumps running new Ls1s in the 14s. My best time in a bone stock 2002 z28 (A4 RSAs) was a 13.40 @106.3. This is with a 1.9 60 ft, and thats where the times come from. Your cars should be right there when you hit a low 2.0 or 1.9 60 ft. Good luck!

That 1st run is nearly identical to my first run.
