First time ever results...

Hey,

I just got back from Rock Falls, where they had test and tune yesterday. I've never run at the strip before, and I'm hooked, it was alot of fun. My friend Nick was there with his 95Z with bolt-ons and improved his personal best from 14.0@99 to run a 13.23@104.43 in less than ideal weather.

My best run:
60' 1.671
330' 4.979
1/8 7.733
MPH 90.46
1000 10.095
1/4 12.074
MPH 114.02

I am not 100% sure what the DA was, but it was somewhere in the 2400-2800 range, so a better run is likely this fall. The track prep was good in the morning, but it tapered off badly by noon, and even on slicks I was struggling to hit a 1.8 short time.

I guess I would like some opinions on the run. I need to speed up my shifts, but I was more concerned with getting down the track straight than fine tuning my runs.

Re: First time ever results...

We have similar dyno #s (400rwhp on one and 385rwhp on another...go figure) and I ran 11.90s at 115 with a 1.68 on 16" ET Radials in 90 deg heat with 76% humidity. I have no idea what this corrects to and I'm not sure what the DA is/was for Capitol Raceway in MD. I'm thinking 11.50s @ 117-119 with good air. I would think similar for you...Being an A4 I can't help you on the shifts, though...I'm sure that slicks and skinnies would help me out, but I'm going for the full sleeper look, big wheels all around and both sway bars...
