Do I do it?? Nope.....I abuse my tranny enough without powershifting. I'm still waiting for the day I finally destroy it (sadly, I have a feeling my ceramic clutch is gonna go first ). Of course, I'm the same guy who refuses to ice his intake; guess I'm just not desperate enough to shave a couple of tenths.

But hell, if you are rebuilding it, why not?? AND add some juice while you are at it. AND launch the **** out of the car.
Well, that sorta sums it up. I am planning on a tranny rebuild as well as some other mods over the winter and I would like to see 10's out of the current combo. My best to date was 11.08, without powershifting. It's a bit down on hp, otherwise it'd be there already. So I've been trying to think of how to shave off just a tenth, even at the risk of breaking something. A 1-2 powershift will likely break 'em loose, so I think I'll try powershifting 2-3 and 3-4. From all I can tell it should be good for a tenth, at least.

I also just installed slight larger nitrous jets but haven't had the chance to run them yet as the track was rained out on Sunday

Thanks for the opinions!

Power shifting can be done slow (won't help) or fast. Your logic is dead on (as usual). The part I like best is it makes me feel like Ronnie Sox.
