Don't Street Race (8 killed)!
#46
So, it's nothing to do with "street racing". It has to do with a moron in a Crown Vic who should be charged with manslaughter, or something like it. I am no longer an advocate of street racing, but I'd be lying if I said I never did it so to completely condemn it would be hypocritical and this has little to do with it anyway.

Another article on the subject.

Nope, Never tried it. I tried smoking tobacco once, on August 15th, 1983. A white Owl cigar. It cured me permanently.
Of course I have. However I've managed to keep my driver's license for 26 years with only one speeding ticket.
Because I like driving it at the track. I've seen 145 MPH at the top-end of Memphis Motorsports Park with my car, and have attended all of the CamaroZ28.com sponsored track days including the 2003 Nationals, with the same car. Have you?
I didn't know rule bending was a prerequisite to owning an F-body.
That is a completely different scenario than gathering for a street race. Driving when angry, tired, or distracted still are, as far as I know, legal in most states. Maybe not good practice, but still not illegal. Unless you are a truck driver.

ws6transam - what you said has no relevance to my comment. no i haven't attended any cz28 track meets and no i haven't ever driven 145 in my own car.
i wasn't implying that owing an fbody was a prerequisite to driving recklessly but give me a break man dont tell me youve never driven faster then you should have on any given public road. last time a checked speeding is breaking the rules.

I like how there are no charges pending for the driver, but they are looking for the drivers of tha cars racing. That makes no sense because, even if the two guys were racing, and the driver who hit the people wasn't drunk, they didn't make those people stand in the road. Sounds like anti street racing propaganda to me.
