Question Breather Issue on Moser 9"

I'm leaking fluid out my breather tube. It's an 18" hose that I have tie-wrapped up above the rear. I've added a catch can to the line to "manage" the fluid. Does anybody else have this issue? The fitting in the rear is located right where the axle tube meets the pumpkin.

Sound like the same thing on my Moser 12 bolt. On mine I had overfilled the unit. I needed to use the side fill hole instead of the one on the cover. Once I realized that and put in the proper amount of oil there was no more problem.

My tube was goin up and over too.

Mine does that too, after I fill it up. It will eventually quit.

I used to worry about it, but it does no good

I filled mine through the proper hole so it's not over-filled. I know the stock 10 bolt and the Strange 12 bolt come with a breather "cap". I wonder if the cap is a better lube/air separator than the vent tube?

I also used a little "breather cap" at the end of an 18" host and that stopped the problem.

I had the same problem and the rear is not overfilled. The only way I could stop it was to loop a piece of hose into a complete circle and zip tie it to the underside of the car above the rear end. One end is connected to a brass fitting with a hose nipple in the housing and the open end is aimed toward the ground.
