adj Torque Arm and True Duals?

I need to knock myu 60fts down and figured I would start with getting rid of my stock Torque Arm and getting an adjustable one and only problem is I have 3" true duals so I am not sure what all will fit.

I am looking for the best adj Tq Arm that will fit with 3" True Duals?

Any suggestions?

I searched and found this one. It shows to be installed on a car with TD's in the pics at bottom of page. My exhaust looks pretty close to the exhsut in the pics.

Any others to chose from?

What would you guys recommend?

Lloyd

That style torque arm is still mounted on the transmission. There are still all of the problems associated with that. If you decide to run that style arm, I believe BMR and maybe one other company has a transmission cross member that relocates the mount off to the side. You could use that arm, but it wouldn't be mounted to the transmission.

When I ran true duals I had to run the pipes outside the tunnel and around the chassis mount for the torque arm. I have seen people make custom true duals that fit very close together and run over the chassis mount. I think ABA383 runs a setup like this, but it isn't cheap to go this route.

I'd recommend Spohn's tunnel mounted one for standard exhausts.

It should give you the most clearance. and I would run Spohn before any other products. I've heard too many horror stories about other brands. That and after seeing some of the welds on the other products, I recommend Spohn to everyone. I'm not going to mention any names, but I used another main stream torque arm before on my car, and I broke the welds on it with a bolt on lt1 m6 car.

I have the BMR adj torque-arm with TSP True-Duals. Hardly any clearance, but it works.

I've got the Spohn one for long tubes. I put it on then designed my true duals so that the x-pipe's smallest cross section goes over the the cross member.

I use the same one, the crossmember has a small dip to accomodate large tubes.
TDs are going to be a tight fit with any chassis-mounted torque arm.

That's how mine looks except that I ran the pipes parallel on the passenger side after the X.

Yup, Alan has the nicest setup but it's custom. Lloyd if you don't want ot go that direction then the UMI peice is prolly the better choice + Ryan is top notch.

I went with the UMI Tq arm that usually mounts to the trans and then I got the trans bracket with the mount made to it.

http://www.umiperformance.com/2205?category_id=130

I got the Chrome Moly # 2205.

and this mount.

seemed to fit the pocket book OK but it is still on its way from UMI so I am not sure how well it fits the car yet.

They seem to think I will have the same clearance that I have with the stock Tq Arm now.

We are getting new carpet next weekend and EVERYTHING is being moved out of my house this coming week and back in the following week. I'll have to wait a few weeks to install the Tq Arm since I'll be busy moving everything I own . . . .

2 - 100 gallon fish tanks with wood stands and toppers
HUGE entertainment center 12' x wide x 2.5' deep by 6' tall.
ALL tv's VCR, DVD, satelite boxes, stereo's, etc, etc
2 huge leather couches with recliners and massagers in each chair, etc.
etc,
etc,

gonna be fun, woohoo.

Just like moving but not a new house.

Oh and we are gonna paint some rooms while they are empty, oh boy.,
