295/50/16 Mickey Thompson too much for low 13`s

Is this overkill for a low 13`s car and is a 255/50/16 enough? Our local track
only preps the line for major events.Street car night they could care less.

I'm doing fine with the smaller ones 1.576 in the 60' with nitrous

only have one pass without, brand new stickers, 1.90 and 13.19

hope to get better times tomorrow

never too much as long as you dont break it ;)

I think the smaller ones will be better, I cut 1.506 on those 255/50-16 mt et streets. I see it making you faster....Lighter tire, shorter for better gearing, maybe 12.999's......?

Good luck and post results

I run a 235/60/15 M/T ET Street DR on my GTO---and have no problem hooking at all. Runs mid to high 12's @ 110 mph with 1.85 60 ft times.
