Talking 11.49 new best

Still no clean passes The car hooked today but keeps banging on the limiter for an eternity between 2 and 3. Looks like I need a shift kit and to boost the pressure a little. Still not bad considering. I managed an 11.49 at 116 with a 1.52 60ft. the limiter killed the mph but it still managed a 7.25 at the 1/8th. Look for some VERY low 11s in the weeks to come.

Those trap speeds are not adding up to the dyno numbers

Nice job, hopefully you get it all sorted out and get down in to the 11.2-3 range.

One question for you though, how's the driveability on that beast?? Comfortable enough to putter around in, or is it mostly track oriented?

Thanks guys and smartasses

The car is stock bottom end with 97 k on her. It has

ported stock heads with stock size valves- done by Eric Bradby
Custom cam- done by my friend Joe Overton
58mm TB
LTs with loudmouth catback
stock susp
elec WP
hypertech--- JUST KIDDING
Vig 3600 stall
1.6 hi tech rockers
ect, ect

I drive the car everywhere. It is an absolute blast to drive and sounds unlike anything else I have crossed in the street. The throttle response is instant and powerband feels constant from idle to 6700! The tq is unbelievable.

I"m having some issues with the shift points because of the loose stall. It's an old stall with a 2.6 str and isn't very efficient up top. The mph was the result of the tranny not hitting 3rd fast enough and getting stuck on the limiter. I just hope edit and a shift kit will get it working quick enough to operate properly. I'm sure I'll be replacing it with something more efficient, but for 325$, I couldn't turn it down. Like most of the parts on this car, I got a good deal on it. It's tough to get the points right when anything under 45 in the street will break the nittos loose

I still need alot of things to get her set up right. K member, drag shocks, SFCs, anti roll bar, driveshaft, TQ arm, panhard bar, ect. The list is very long.

I think we'll see 11.2s to 11.3 in a few weeks, then a little fine tuning and who knows. She would have hit 11.3 yesterday if I hadn't screwed with the tables She is gonna LOVE a set of 4.10s with a 1.4? 60ft and more mph up top, cause this things still gaining at 6700 I might advance the cam a few degrees to bring up the TQ and back the rpm up a little and she will SCREAM

Big thanks to everyone that has been helping me with the car. This thing rides and sounds better than I could have dreamed.

PS- this is not an unpaid advertisement

With the proper stall, and a good day, do you think you could catch a high 10??? I think it could be done in perfect conditions. If you're moving this fast on a not so hot setup, just imagine the possibilities.

Now you gone and done it I'm jynxed

We'll just have to wait and see. It still hasn't made a clean pass yet. I've got alot of weight left to take out and a day on the dyno should help too. I'll try to get the vid up so you can see how much was left on the table.

That's my fault, I brought it up.
