Question 1/8th mile run-first time

Ran a 10.2 in the 1/8th mile at dunn tire park in lancaster new york on july 2nd.....beat a 08 vet off the line and halfway down my car bogged down....bad seperator plate and in need of shift kit, which i already knew.vette got me.
ran a second pass..9.2, good launche but same thing happened again. but i was already ahead of s10 i was smoking from the line.
other then the two things i got to do, i would really appreciate all the help and ideas how to get some horsepower.
car is 95 z28 camaro automatic...lt1 motor with cold air intake and power chip, 4:10 gear rearend out of 2000 ss camaro. port and polished throttle body, no sway bar in front and straight dump exhaust, drag radials on rear, rearend all modified so no twist action takes place, no spare tire or jacks in car............thanks

It would also help to post all the infromation from the time slips (60ft, 330ft, trap MPH). Normally, the 60ft time is the main determination of what happned on a run (i.e., how well it hooked on the launch).
