Post Trouble codes??

When my car warms up, it throws codes General Motors P0372 DI High Resolution Circuit
or
General Motors P1371 DI Low Resolution Circuit
Does anyone know what this is? I'm thinking of Opti, but... It is an OBDII car.

Thanks for any help!

the trouble code you are getting is saying that the signals coming out of the distributor are either not making sense to the computer or not there at all. the pcm uses two signals from the distributor: low resolution, and high resolution. the low resolution is used to tell the pcm which cylinder's injector is due to fire next, and anything else needed pertaining to that cylinder(such as a misfire, which it needs the crank sensor to detect). the high resolution signal tells the computer the exact position of the piston in its bore so it can know when to cut the ignition coil off. Experience would sayn its time for a new opti, but i would check the voltage at the connector with a digital multimeter to make sure the wiring was good before i spent hundreds of dollars on a new distributor. One more question, how does the car drive? if you have any more questions, or need to know how to check that connector, give me a call 713.476.0684.

The car runs great, until it gets hots, then runs like crap. Sometimes not even starting. This problem just started Sat. I have an extra opti lying around, that I can put on this weekend. Thanks for the help, if that doesnt fix it, I'll be sure to call.
