Question on PCM tuning....

I hate to sound stupid here, but I am what I am.
If I had new heads, a new cam, and didn't do any tuning would the Z run like one-legged dog? (i.e. badly?)
Or would it just not run as well?

Thanks for any input or comments.....

Generally a hot cam and headrers well run ok on a stock tune and run better with a custom tune. Bigger cam and head work really needs a tune to run good. You need to set the idle up, adjust for larger injectors, if installed, and you''l need to add fuel.

I hear everyone talking about the "Hotcam," where can I buy one, what are the specs on it and what would make it better than either a Comp Cam or another high performance brand cam?

idle

Hey steve,

why do you want to set the idle up?

I have a XE 224/230 503/510 lift cam, and I like my car to idle at 800 rpm.

Am I hurting something? I'm not pulling any retard, so I thought I was doing good.
