LT1 Edit help

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of an LT1 Edit program for my 93 Z28?

LT1_Edit does not make a version for your car. They only work with 94 and up flash-based PCMs. Your PCM uses a replaceable PROM for the calibration.

You do have several choices though. TunerCat is a good choice with excellent support. It's cheap, $70 for the program plus $20 for the definition file for your PCM. $DA3 is the calibration file you need.

There are some other free tuning programs out there. I *think* winbin is one of them.

You will also need a PROM burner to write the calibration to a chip. The PocketProgrammer from www.xtronics.com is a good one. It's $150. You might also be able to find a cheap burner on eBay. Just make sure the burner can program 27C256 chips (which is what your PCM uses).

Craig Moates at www.moates.net also makes a nice adapter board that you can use to make swapping chips easier. He's also got some links to free tuning software.

You can also use the TunerCat real-time tuner which lets you make changes on the fly. It's more expensive and you need a ROM emulator from xtronics ($179).
