Innovate wideband sensor connection?

I ve just bought a Innovate LC-1 wideband with the Dakota red digital gauge.

I ve got some Kooks headers and my normal o2 sensor are in place but i also got the Kooks "y" pipe that came with somce o2 bungs that i ve cap with some plugs.

Normally a wideband sensor would go directly after the "Y" pipe right?
but

Could i install it in one of the o2 bung in my "y" pipe or the reading will not be good?

Im just trying to save time and not taking off the "Y"pipe.

Thank you

Depends what A/F ratio you want to read. If you install the sensor in a branch of the Y-pipe that only flows the exhaust from one bank of the engine, you will only see the A/F ratio for that bank of the engine. If you locate the sensor after the two branches merge at the Y, you will be reading an average A/F ratio for both banks. You need to determine what data you need and how you plan to use it.

One advantage of the wide-band sensors is that they are heated and temperature compensated, making it possible to locate them farther from the engine.
