hypercrap and alternatives

hypercrap and alternatives

first i know that hypertechs are pos but me and my dad already have one. anyways the problem is the computer wont allow the fans to cut on at 185 and the it keeps blowing up the fuses. but what are the other alternatives to the hypertech? any help would be great

Well, you could look into Superchips or Jet. Don't expect a lot out of any of this type of programmer, although I've heard some say that Superchips works somewhat better than Hypertech.

Actually, there are many different options you can look into. Superchips and Jet are two options, but they are just as bad as Hypertech. A much better option that doesn't require you to learn about tuning is a custom tuner like Ed Wright (who is very expensive and takes a lot of time) or PCMforless.com (this is the one I recommend, he's fast and does good work are the comments I hear from people who go with him). The best option if you don't mind spending a few months learning how to tune your car would be to get LT1Edit or Tunercat. Since you have a 94, don't waste your money on LT1Edit, get Tunercat as it does more and costs much less. It's up to you, but most non-computer types would probably be better off with PCMforless tuning. You can fry PCMs doing your own flash tuning, and if you don't know much about electronics, you won't be able to easily fix it.
