Dumb custom/HPP question
I just had my '99 dyno tuned after heads and cam install...and am very happy with the results. My rev limiter was set at 6500 rpm however. Can I still hook up my HPP to just raise the limiter to like 6700? It makes peak power right at 6500 (but the curve is still going up past 6500) and I would like to shift at 6500. Will the HPP erase the custom (LS1edit) tune? The tuner is gone for a week and I am just impatient to get to the track. Should I just wait 'til he gets back in town to raise the limit?

As long as you do not install power programming from hypertech programer into your pcm it should not over write any thing except the rev limiter change.

unless you have a custom program in your HPP the maximum rev limit it allows is 6400rpm. I know they sell custom programming for a hefty price that will let it raise it higher but its quite expensive if my memory serves me correctly, part of the headers/cam package I believe.
