Anyone Make an Affordable tuning Package for my OBD II??

I have a 96 LT-1 and I have the diagnostics package that Alex Peper sells. Works well for diagnostics, but no programming. Last time I checked there were no real low cost OBD II options. I anyone has feedback I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks,
Bill H

Define "low-cost". LT1-Edit for OBD-II is available, for like $550. Tunercat is supposedly working on OBD-II - they have always been cheaper than LT1-Edit. They hope to have something by the end of the year. You might want to email them (www.tunercat.com) and express your interest

Joe,

Thanks for the feedback I'll check them out. $550 is near my threshold of pain, $200/$300 would be nice. There just seems to be such good utility and low cost stuff floating around for OBD I, bummer that OBD II is not there yet, that aftermarket that is.

Take care,
Bill H

I am also interested in a low cost solution for programming my 96 Z. Which diagnostic package do you have. The only thing I have is HPP3 which I will get rid of as soon as I get LT-1 Edit or another programming solution. LT-1 Edit is pretty expensive though. I also need a diagnostic tool for this car.

I also hear Datamaster is working on an OBD-II version. Datamaster by far is the best OBD-I logging software. Not sure of the dates there. Failing that, I have used Autotap for OBD-II. Pricey, and it has some minor quirks (that in all fairness my be fixed in the newer version).

I would also like a cheaper solution for programming the OBDII computers. Hope it happens soon :)
