2000 Camaro cd err message
 

Ive had my 2000 z28 since Oct 99, It has 124,000 miles on it and last week I was changing a cd and the player made a noise like it was reading it then the message ERR appeared. This has happened many times over the years like when a disc was dirty or scratched then would play fine, But this time it did the same thing on several discs I tried, and it also took a long time to eject the disc and it makes the reading sound even if radios off. so I went to Ebay and got a used one from a 2002 and guess what......same thing. Radio works fine but no cd ! Is this a coincidence or can it be a bad connection, a fuse,etc?? Also I hope Im in right Forum.
