small block suggestions
 

i need to redo my whole engine bay, it runs alright(only have a 305 in there atm) but it looks terrible any suggestions?

i want to clean it up, get rid of the rust so i thought why not get a bit of a power upgrade at the same time

i just bought it, its a 1980 camaro
can anyone help with where to find a new engine, somewhat cheap ($1500 budget)
also a new exhaust would be nice,($550 budget)

and any suggestions about cleaning up my engine bay while the motor is out, replacing it is not out of question, but help on where to find parts would be nice

im repainting it anyways so new parts are no problem at all.

gm crate engine 350ci. 290 hp

If you can get us pics of the engine bay we can help a lot more. Just putting a similar era 350 will help some on performance. The guys over on Nasty28.com are experts on second gens (I'm a member there with the same s/n) and they would be more than happy to help you pick something out and keep it at or under budget.
