SBC Pro Action cylinder heads? any good?
I have been looking at these, but haven't heard of anyone running them.
Anybody have any input? I am looking at the Alum. 220cc or 235cc intake sizes to go on a 406 SBC. What do you all think? |
very nice castings, ports all seem to be the same, I also like the Dart Pro 1 heads, I have a set of the 230 aluminum I am working on.. probably the best cast aluminum heads I have ever seen out of the box.. (and I have seen a few)

They look like a slam-dunk on paper. Real world testing is not showing great results, however. Many have been implying their actual flow isn't what they say it is and power from them is also sub-par.
None of this comes from personal experience, however. For some opinions from guys who have used them try posting over on nastyz28.com [This message has been edited by Damon (edited June 27, 2002).] |
They claim big numbers then Chevy Hi-po tests them and the 882 out flowed them on the exhuast or something crazy like that, AFR 195 is the way I think.

I can only vouch for the Dart Pro 1's.
They flow very nicely !!! I have it matched up to a rather large solid street CompCam. Heavy... ------------------ 1972 Chevelle SS Forged 383, Dart Pro1 heads, TCI stall.
