I found a camaro as the subject states. But is is missing an efg grid, easy valve, and catalytic converter. What do these do? And is it $$$ to fix? Thanks.

efg grid
easy valve

Sure you heard those right?

Catalytic converter: installed in the exaust to clean up emissions. Not strictly needed, unless your state does emissions testing. In which case a cat would be the least of your worries; getting a 400 Pontiac certified is going to cost$$$$.

Easy valve? Maybe you mean EGR valve. Not terribly expensive if you can still buy one for your application. It's job is to lower combustion chamber temperatures to reduce the formation of
NOX (a pollutant). No idea what the other item might be.

I'm not sure. I'm really still torn. It's good to see someone using the Pontiac motor, but I still dislike to pull an X motor out of X car and put in a Y motor.

Oh, well, I'll still take it though

For the Cat. Con. I'm not sure if NJ has emission control and inspections. If they don't, don't worry about it. If they do, I think you can pick one/two up at any parts store or from like summit or Jegs. I think they run roughly $150 per converter
