I have a 67 camaro with a 327 and a powerglide...if i swap the powerglide for a 700r4 will there be electronic issues, or are there 700r4s without the square plug on the side? Sorry if this question is stupid i am not a transmission guy

 

They all have electrical input for the lockup torque converter. Aftermarket suppliers have what you need to complete the swap into non-computer controlled vehicles. BTW, the carb mount for the TV cable is critical. Make sure and get the correct carb bracket for the type of carb you will be using, or you risk damaging the tranny.
