I have a 69 camaro with factory 3/8" steel line. The link below explains my problem. My fuel filter basically runs almost dry....though fuel pressure drops from 8-9 to 5-6 psi. I can feel a little top end performance loss due to this. I have a holley 130 gph race pump (15psi) and a regulator. All 3/8" line. I have dropped the tank and removed the sock......checked the pick up tube..........blown thru the main fuel line. .........Wrapped the fuel line all thru the engine bay.........wrapped the fuel line by the mufflers..........even bought a new pump (the one on it is couple months old) Oh......this is a mechanical pump. Any help would be appeciated.

Do you still have the holley filters in the float bowl inlets? Are you positive that the line is 3/8 and not 5/16.
I would get rid of that plastic filter and get a nice high flow after market one. Also this is a long way for any pump to pull fuel. You might try an electric pump at the tank.
My only 395hp 383 used to suck the carb dry by third gear, until I installed new 7/16 lines.

Its a holley pro series.....they do not have the filters at the bowl inlets. I am positive it 3/8"...........I measured them with a set of calipers. I know its a little cheap looking(filter).........but it pretty big and has decent flow. I may run a new 3/8" temp. fuel line and see if I get any different results. The fuel pump is more than enough to support the fuel requirements of the motor. I am only running 400-425 hp at the flywheel. If the new line doesn't work......I guess and electric fuel pump will be next.
Will a holley blue do the job?

Sounds like you got it pretty well covered.
Only other thing I could think of was some kind of blockage in the line.
I remember one time when a friend installed the rubber hose on the steel line, it shaved a thin piece of rubber off the inside of the hose and would block the fuel line. It was intermittent, spent weeks trying to figure it out.
