79 z28 shifter probs
 

got a hurst shifter in my z not working correctly look under the cable to tranny is looped that is a straight run right that should not be looped right (advise)

I had the same problem In my 79 Camaro too. Check to make sure you're running intake vacuum not ported vacuum off the carb if that's not it get the Trans into first gear or park and adjust the cable that way also make sure your detent is hooked up and adjusted correctly good luck!
