1977 400sb

i hava a 400 sb from a 77 impala would this be a good engine to rebuild and put in my 84z28? i been reading on the forum and im getting mixed reviews. im just kooking for a street engine like over 400hp and torque at the wheels im changing the rear and beefing up the tranny as well with sfc also but my main concern is the 400sb is it worth rebuilding or just get a 350 thanks guys

If you have the 400 already, may as well use it! Theres no replacement for displacement.

Take it to a machine shop and have it checked out to make sure its ok, than have at it !

thanks i took it to the shop last monday. they are going to clean it up and he said he can get 430hp to the fly wheel hopefully i wont lose much to the wheels after i beef up the drivetrain. i can prob give the new camaro a lil comp lol
