'88 IROC-Z price reduced
Plans changed, have to be in South Carolina next week - if you've got cash you can part with this weekend, make me an offer!
IROC-Z, well-maintained (have maintenance records), t-tops, 305 V8, 5 speed, very fast, dual exhaust. Maroon w/red interior. Only negative is that seats are slightly ripped on sides, missing horn button, clear-coat peeling in spots. Car has no rust and runs smooth. It is totally original other than the CD player, but I have the original stereo & it will also be included in sale. 140K. This is a beautiful car, very sweet ride, was my daily driver, runs beautiful. $4,000 or best reasonable offer Let me know if you're interested. For pics e-mail smithbye@worldpath.net |
Make me an offer
A little surprised by the lack of response, this car is a beauty - you just don't see many of the IROC's around. Okay, what's it worth to you?
:( |
Can you host the pics on photobucket, and add them to this thread? I think that might be part of the lack of response. And it's only been on the board for 18 hours. That's probably the main reason.
Edit: Didn't see the other post.....but if you can host pics that would be king. |

Thanks for the positive feedback Tokuzumi. This is definitely not a project car!

It's very clean, it has been extremely well taken care of. The original owner ordered it from the dealership and owned it for 15 years. It was then sold to someone who owned it for 1 year and barely drove it so his wife made him sell it! My good luck since I've enjoyed this car tremendously over the last few years and it's killing me to sell it -but sometimes responsibility gets in the way!!
No, the dog stays with me, he just loves the back seat! |
I think I might know why you haven't gotten responses...it's priced about 4 times what it's worth. The KBB on it is about $1,000-$1,500. If you want to sell it, you have to get it near there.

Maybe I exagerrated, but I think it's a tad overpriced still....I have no vested interest in the sale of this car, so I'll leave the thread.
Good luck! |
F.Y.I. The NADA guide shows this car's average retail being $5,434

Summer's coming and driving around with the t-tops off is totally awesome!

A bump for the morning people:bow:

A $1500 3rd gen will get you a rust-bucket that is beat to death, or some guy's project that will cause you to go bankrupt fixing it. If you want a good platform to start with, his asking price is not out of line with what 87-92 Irocs are going for on Autotrader.

Not true at all. I know a few 3rd gens that have no rust on them going for less that 2,000. Hell my first car was 11 year old 84 Z28 that was loaded and you could see yourself in the paint and I paid 1,800 for it. Now cars are going on 20 years old and they want an arm and a leg for them. These cars where like 20,000 new. Which is about $800 in deprecation a year. That is a freaking amazing!!
