I want to put another of the bose subs (they're 4 1/2" arn't they?) but on the passenger side so that I'll have one on the drivers side and passenger side. I know you guys will probably think its stupid, but thats what I want to do...Is there a way to do this, and would I need to buy an amp for it?

I don't think it can be done unless you add another amp. And then you have already spent more than it's worth. So yes I do think it's stupid. Just add a 10 or 12 in. in the driver side cubby in the rear.

...Well, I originally was going to go with 2 12W3's, but then I saw the price of the amp (I don't have much money...trying to figure out the rest of the car first)...

You can get a pretty good setup for in the neighbor hood of $300 if you build your own sub box, or have someone hook you up with one.

So take a different approach. How about a single 12W3, or a 12W0? The money you save on subs will leave money over to put toward a good amplifier.

Exactly, its' all about budgeting. Don't give up just b/c you can't afford 2 12" woofers. Normally a single 12" is enough for most people's listening habits.

Hey, i looked into doing the same exact thing you are asking about. i did a little research on it like last month and i found that it would cost alot. u would have to get the side remolded, and the spare tire is over there too so that would have to go also. And another thing, bose doesn't make any aftermarket products so it would be another brand. Someone quoted me it would be like $3000 bucks do it mostly cuz of the remolding. But i think the 1 bose sub and mid levels have pretty good bass to them... enough to even put my friends systems to shame(factory systems that is), and comes sorta close to being as loud as my friends system with 2 12's, but one difference between us is that the bose is much more crisp.
