Post What would it take to do this???

I'm wondering with Trans Am's having power antennas if it's possible to be able to play cd's WITHOUT the antenna going up? I hope this isnt too stupid of a question to ask here, thanks for any info.

it depends on what deck you're using. Some decks have a power antenna lead which only activates the antenna when the radio is in use. If you're not using one of those decks, it's pretty simple, just install a swtich in line with the power antenna lead which allows you to control when the antenna goes up and down.

I'm lazy and I'm using power from the antenna to remote my amp =\

it's a vicious cycle.

Well (I might get thrown outta this forum for saying this) but both of my cars have the stock stereo in them. The 97 is the NON monsoon system am/fm Cassette with a 12 disc cd changer in the trunk. The 2002 is the Monsoon system front loading (single cd) unit, thank you for the advice though. Doesnt seem like it would be impossible!
