Stock CD Changer in 1995 Trans Am

I picked one up the other day, I plugged it into my car. It gets power, I can hear it checking for all the cds...I always heard that the 1995 head unit came ready for the cd changer, I even see on the display face it has the word "disc" to light up..but how do I work the cd changer? I pressed CD/Play a bunch of times and just about every other button...do I need a new head unit?

I heard from someone who used to work at a dealership that you have to get into the radio's setup somehow and tell it it has a changer so you can use it. Is that true? If so, how do you get into it and what do you do? Thanks...
