second battery ground

I'm going to add a second ground for my battery. Depending which battery terminal I get, I'll use all of the outputs that is has (like one 4 awg and one 8 awg and use the corresponding power wire for ground). For those who added a second ground, did you use the same gound or grounded at a different place?

I grounded to the same spot. My thought was that if GM put the ground wire there it might (should) have been the best spot.

Same spot. I added a 4GA ground cable from the top post, since my battery had both.

I've got a Yellow Optima so I guess I'll just ground it to the same place then. Though I'm not sure, but I think some people have said something about grounding it to the alternator or something like that. Like I said, I'm not sure and I can't remember where I read that from.

just ground it, in a manner to handle the amperage your system is gonna draw, figure about 10 amps per 100 watts. and when you top the 140+ amp mark make sure its a 4g ground

the battery terminal I'm going to get will probably have dual 8 awg (or single) with an additional 4 awg output. So I'll be using an 8 awg (or dual) with the 4 awg output at the same time. At the most, it should be dual 8 awg and a single 4 awg ground wires. I know, might be an over kill, but at least we know I have a good ground
