Mine did the same thing last week. bought a new motor at autozone, replaced it (shoebox has a nice writeup on his site) and alls well now. I didn't have to raise the window to fix, once the motor was out you can move the window upwards pretty easily.

Try pulling the window up first and freeing it maybe it's just seized up....though likely your motor is toast soon anyway then...

go to Autozone, purchase a power window motor with a lifetime warranty, and as mentioned - check our Rob's install guide >http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

I had the same problem. I went on ebay and bought a window motor for $12.95 and i haven't had any problems yet with it. But everytime i roll down my driver side window, I get butterflies

So if I send my used window motor to someone with a warrenty, they can swap it out and charge me like $35?

just go on ebay, I bought the one for 10.95 on ebay and it looks identical to the one from pepboys or autozone. works great too. heck if I get 1 year out of it and have to replace it again who cares its cheap as heck.
