i got this cdplayer a lil time back. and i put it in worked great for weeks. then the display tuned off. the cdplayer still worked fine just nothing on the display. so i took it in to this place. they said they had to soder some wire back on. I took it home hooked it back up worked for 2 dayz then did the same thing. Took it back to them, 2 dayz later they called me told me they bench tested it for 12 hrs and never had a problem with it. I put it back in the car worked for half of day and hasnt worked since. The guy at the place said i wired it worng or it somthing to do with the car. but it wired right any idears

Sounds like a short to me. Take it back to the shop when it's not working and say that you have checked the wiring and it's right. Then have them bench test it when it's not working.

Hey ...hopefully this helps. I have a Pioneer in mine too...Im not sure exactly what model # but it has the organic display and all that. The display quit workin on me completely and I couldnt turn the radio up,down, or off. The detachable faceplate wasnt making full connection....I just push on the faceplate whenever it quits working now and it comes right back on. Mainly it does this when its real cold out but since Ive put it back on a few thousand times it doesnt do it as much.....I think its just dirty connections on the back of the faceplate.
Hope that helps ya out......Nate
