Picking out new system

I'm trying to pick out a new system for my '95 camaro. I had my old one stolen 2 weeks ago. I'm going with the box from subthump this time. I want to run 2 12" subs. I've had Crunch fatboys, and audiobahn 1251 series in the past with a lanzar vibe 800 watt amp. I'm not looking to spend a whole ton of money, but I do want a decent setep, preferably louder then what I had with my old setup.
What do you guys suggest?
What has worked well for you and how much did it run you?
I was thinking 1000 watt lanzar vibe amp (~$200), and I was thinking about some MTX subs this time - what do you guys think?

I'm simply not sure about MTX subs. Definately not my first choice. There's several affordable subs that have worked well for me that I would recommend before mtx. First you have JL. You might even look into the new V2 subs they make. They're supposed to hit a lot harder, but still, 12W3s are great subs too. Shivas are great for the money and loud as long as you give them 1.5 cubes each. Rockfords are pretty good. IDQ's are very nice. And the Alpine Type R's are awesome I hear. Buddy of mine hit 147dbs with two Alpines, my well box, and 950 watts at his first competition. So I simply cannot ignore the Alpines anymore.
