need help

im hooking up a jensen 100x100 amp to 6.5 alpine rear speakers it has the bose system with aftermarket head unit. my question is when amp is hooked up the speakers are pure static and the wire that goes down by the magnet to the terminals starts meltin need help PLEASE!!!

um a 100 watts x 100 channels amp doesn't exist. I would never use jensen anything. you probably dont have it hooked up correctly. check all your wires. also, if your hearing static and wires are melting on the speakers, the speakers are most likely shot.

well my friend hooked them up and he left the wires from the headunit on so there was to positives going to it. could this have something to do with this? speakers are not shot either

unhook speakers wires coming from the headunit, your double feeding the speaker, causing the issue

well just have the one going to amp. like one of them will work real good and the other wont,plus static in bass when turned down.inline filters fix that problem atleast???

haha.

the only thing I can help you with out of all that gibberish is that in-line filters don't work that well.
