Need an Alarm

Now that I have a $1700 audio system, I need an alarm to protect it and my bird. Its a 6 speed so the remote start is out.
Is a Viper a top-of-the-line system, or is there others that are better?
Thanks...

anything dei--viper or python--they're the same with a different name. i would still get the remote start version and just not hook up the r/s. i have that on my z, my fiancee's jag that is a stick, and my buddy's mom's t/a all the same way.

I had a prestige system put in my formula a few months back. So far i've had no problems. Make sure you spring for the glass sensors though.

I just ordered a Clifford, Matrix 12.2x with a couple of optional sensors; tilt sensor and a radar sensor. For about $200 online. This is to replace my 7yr old clifford system that died.
I've be doing a lot of research on alarms and this system has everything I need, but nothing I don't.
Plus to save money I'm doing the install myself, just another reason to take my car apart!..LOL!
