Monsoon stereo problem

I've recently been having a strange problem with my stereo. It is the Monsoon AM-FM Stereo with Compact Disc Player and Automatic Tone Control that came with my 2001 Camaro, to be specific. It works just fine the first time I drive the car each day, but if I stop the car, the stereo sometimes doesn't work when I start it again. If I then drive for a long time, it eventually starts working again. When it doesn't work, it doesn't even show the time on the display, but CD's will still eject. Also, when it's not working, the feature where you can use the power windows for the first couple minutes after turning the car off also does not work. It also seems to be much worse the hotter it is, which now, is pretty much every day. If it is cold or at night, I don't have this problem. Any ideas?

BCM sounds like it's going out.

This seems to be the case...any ideas other than "going out"...doesn't sound too technical...

It is more serious than just the radio...and is even worse now that it's late July...the power windows don't work at all whenever the radio does not work...is it the heat or is it the humidity...or the condensation from the A/C causing the problem? I'm thinking now that is the latter is the problem...with the windows randomly not working, I'm kind of afraid to roll them down, and thus have to use the A/C...and then when I go out for lunch the water shorts something out...but when I park it at night, the water drys up and it used to work just fine the whole 45 minute drive to work, but now that doesn't happen?

This is really weird...I'm sure that if I take it to a dealership to fix, they'll charge me lots of money and probably won't even fix the problem, and I know that everyone else says take it to a dealership, we can't fix it.

It also makes me wonder, what else isn't running when the power windows and radio aren't running??? Are the air bags even on? Is something that controls emissions and/or engine performance not working? At this point, the radio, I could care less about, I mean, I could fix that quite easily, by installing a new, and probably better system...

Like bluebird said, the radio and rap circuit (things that work after the key is off, until you open the door) seem to be the first signs of BCM failing. It should have nothing to do with the airbags
