JL audio question inside; stealthbox related

ok, on the site JL lists a 10W3-D2 as the included subwoofer, yet that sub isnt listed anywhere else on the site. is this sub the same/similar to the 10W3v2, which is listed on the site? are they both DVC's? what gives here??

The V2 is just an updated version of the D2. And yes, it's a DVC.

so are there any differences between these subs at all???

You can get an unloaded MTX stealthbox for $200, so i'd imagine the unloaded JL box is somewhere around there. Out of the two JL's, I think the Vantage box looks better, so you might look in to that. JL doesn't like their stuff to be sold online, so you might have a hard time finding the boxes at an online store. Your best bet is to call up some local car audio shops and ask if they sell them. Also, most of the car audio shops in my area sell a generic type of stealthbox as well that usually runs around $100-120.

Now with all that covered, I recommend you look into the Milhouse box at www.subthump.com I just bought one. The box replaces the rear well cargo flap. It's a great box, and it can be covered in vinyl and you can even get a custom logo put on the front. It runs in the area of $200, and the airspace can be matched to anything you need up to 1.6 cu.ft. Check out the web page, and don't hesitate to buy from there. The guys email is boxbuilder@subthump.com His name is megabass on this forum, and every other one as well.

Forgot to mention, with the Milhouse, you still retain your T-top storage ability.

The W3v2 series replaces the W3 series just as the W6v2 series replaced the W6 series a few months ago.
For example 10W3v2 = updated 10W3, so a 10W3-D2 is now called a 10W3v2-D2.
Yike, they're gettin a little lengthy on the model numbers of their subs now, hehe.
