how to install stereo in Trans Am?

I bought a stereo. Now I want to install it. But I dont want to disassemble the entire dash just to get to the stereo. Is there another way for trans am's.

You don't need to disassemble the dash to install a new stereo. Just pop off the trim panel around the factory HU and remove the 7mm screws that hold it in. Pull the radio out as far as you can (it won't come out a lot) so that you can unplug it. There will be the main wiring harness, the antenna and the CD changer control harness to unplug. To get added depth for mounting a new HU you may need to move the tab inside the dash out of the way. It's just a small tab with a hole in it thats used to help secure the back of the factory HU.

What model HU are you using? Do you have an install kit for it? Antenna adapter?
