Hey guys,

I'm looking for a basic (but good quality) CD player. It is actually going in my '94 9C1 Caprice, but I'm just looking for recommendations on brands, etc. I'd like it to be a 1.5 DIN if possible (fills out the space in the dash), but I know that limits my options. I will probably be getting some speakers too (just replacements for the old stock units, using the stock locations).

How hard is it to install these things? Should I just have place put them in for me? I am NOT a music buff or anything, so I don't need big power, amps, etc. I just want to replace my current stock (no tape or cd) head, and I figure while I'm at it I may as well get some decent but affordable speakers. At least one of my stock paper speakers is starting to buzz a little. Any suggestions at all are appreciated!

Pioneer and Jensen may be the only ones making a 1.5 din. Alpine has had one, but I don't think it is made anymore. Check Pioneer's site for model numbers.

 

Thanks for the feedback, Mopar(huh?)man. Looks like I'll have to head to a store and start looking; not getting much of a reply from this forum or the lounge...

JVC makes a din and a half also, i think some Circuit Citys can special order it. Just so you know, good luck
