Angry Factory Changer, what a piece

12 disc changer in my newly aquired car is being a PITA. 2nd time I load the magazine in it gets stuck. When I hit the button on the HU I get the ugly "Err" message. The magazine will click all the way into the changer but only ejects out just barely past the door so it's not enough to grab and muscle it out.

I thought I could just take it out of the trunk and take the cover off but it has that funky "pike and ring" connector on the side near the rear of the car that won't come off. Anti-theft I guess. Gave up for the night after I discovered an unrelated oil leak . Not a very good quality unit but it worked at least. I hope it's something simple, someone enlighten me please.

I have never had any problems with mine. It never skips, even on rough roads with my lowering springs. The clip always comes out too. My car only has 16,000 miles on it though.

Unhappy

Anyone else have any ideas on how to get it unjammed? I might see if I can find a skinnier end wrench in shop tomorrow. If that doesnt work I guess I'll have to break down and have a sound shop look at it

Thats why i stick with the after market changers. The quality is so much higher if you get a good name. The factory changers are built by pioneer. So if you cant get the magazine out, find the pioneer customer hotline and call them for assistance.
