10" Steathbox or 12"?
I have a 12" stealthbox with a JL Audio 12W6 in it. Only have 250 watts going to it and it sounds pretty good.
I've heard some good things about the JL Audio 12W7, so I may upgrade to that (as well as a 500 watt amp) in the future.

Adire Brahma, Elemental Designs K series, Alpine type R, and Image Dynamics IDQ were all designed for small boxes, and they should all fit the bill..... BTW the JL W7 really isn't designed for a small sealed box like the ones i previously mentioned.

Look at my vert page. My passenger side stealth will fit a 10 or 12. http://www.subthump.atfreeweb.com/convert.htm

I can modify the box to get more air for w7 if needed. But how about the Adire 10. I think that would work quite well.

the adire? they have that in a 12 i assume? if im gonna have to do away with my jack i may as well go with a 12. do you have any info on the adire.(power handling,etc...) is it better than the jl w7? thanks for the info. your box's look sweet too.

Yes, the Adire Brahma comes in a 12". I can't really say which is better. The W7 or Brahma. Both are outstanding and you'd be very happy with either one. The Brahma will work better in a slightly smaller box than the W7 so that might be worth looking into. Here's the link. http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_aud...a_series.htm:D

The 12 inch Brahma has a .707 QTC in a .95 cube box where as the W7 has the same in a 1.5 cube box. The W7 can probably take more power, but unless you are runing absolutly huge amps it will not matter. They are said to have very similar sound to them, both can take absolutly huge power, both have super flat BL and cms curves (meaning excellent frequency response). They are both phenominal subs with each having strengths over the other. The W7 can take more power and looks cooler and may have an output advantage with huge power put to it (above 2000 watts), THe Brahma is optimized for smaller box, and is considerably cheaper and may have an output advantage with under 2000 watts ..... the choice is yours.

Scottie Johnson competes using 9 15" Brahmas. He has a Viper 2500 on each coil. That's 5000WRMS per woofer!!!!!!! And still without a single woofer death. Don't get me wrong though ... I think the W7 is an all around better driver.... just too expensive.... sorry guys.
