Question Best boom for the buck

Lets say i have 500 dollars, I want the loudest/quality bass i can without sacrificing one for the other. What kind of amp and speakers should i get...Im open to any suggestion on any brand, and any size speakers but im definitely looking for subwoofers as opposed to mid range, so 10" and above is what id like the most info on as far as speakers.

Image Dynamics, Eclipse (aluminum cone) are the first to come to mind as far as subs. Amp, Phoneix Gold, Kicker, Rockford...those should fit just fine deping on which sub you get to match it w/ the amp with about the same rms

Two 12" Elemental Designs K-series.
Kicker KX600.1 or JBL BP600.1

You'd be HELLA loud and ED is known for good SQ. Follow on question, what box are you planning on using?

If you go to your local audio shop you can usually find a dual 12 F-body box for around $100 ...if you want a real nice box www.subthump.com

for cheap power JBL BP1200.1 or JBL BP600.1 depending on what subs you get 260 and 190 respectively from www.ikesound.com

that puts you at like say 350 already, and that doesn't leave a lot for the subs. look up the subs previously mentioned and see what you like. my roommate has a couple of kicker comp vr 12s, and they slam big time in one of those cheapo 100 local shop boxes. elemental is good or image dynamics. if you can find some good deals on the diamond audio macdaddy's you might look into those also

I like the suggestions so far and i appreciate the help!

Let me elaborate a little so I can get a more specific answer

Question: Im looking for the loudest quality bass, in other words the more i can feel it in my seat the better! with a budget of about 700 bucks, since i can sell my old speakers and amp for around 200.

Subs: 1 15" 2 12" or 3 10" ? brand/price

Amp: wattage brand/price

Box: brand/price

If you go with the JBL 1200.1 make sure you add a Hi pass filter to your system. The amp only comes with a built in low pass filter. I did not head this warning and I trashed a 15" RF HX2 thanks to a liberal dose of sub sonics. I love the amp though. best power for the price and stable to 1ohm!

This is going to be your loudest and cleanest setup. Anyone wanna argue that? If you don't mind using up your rear storage area, go with the deep well ported box.
2 X ED 12K = $260
JBL BP600.1 = $180
Box = $300

That should be enough to shake those eyeballs straight out of your head!!!!

That doesnt make sens... hte jbl1200.1 isnt even a full range amp..it cant play anything but base....

In any case, look for a used jbl1200.1 (1200watts rms), you can find them for around 250$...cant beet that!

Keep an eye out on the sounddomain.com web site in the forum for sale section... they have some for sale often.

It means with out a high pass filter and pushing that many watts you WILL damage your subs when they try to play at freq that are too low. Low pass filter cuts off all freq above where it is set. Hence the name low pass as lower freq are allowed to pass. High pass filter is just the opposite all freq below where it is set are blocked and all above are allowed. This high pass filter is what the JBL amps are missing. If you play a cd with real low dirty base with out the high pass filter it could cause the subs to hyper-extend when they try to reproduce sounds lower then the human ear can hear.
This is a quote from the install section of the D4s I just bought

HIGH PASS ("SUBSONIC") FILTERS MUST BE USED WITH NON-SEALED APPLICATIONS TO PREVENT OVER-EXCURSION AT INFRASONIC FREQUENCIES.

I understand what you mean..usually when talking high pass we are not talking about sub 60hz signals... thus the term subsonic filter. Same difference.

A lot of amps got by fine without one in the past...it is not a necessity but it is good to have one.
