battery tender/cigarette lighter

battery tender/cigarette lighter

Hey guys ,is it safe to run a battery tender through a ciggarete lighter? do i have to disconnect the battery i f im connecting a battery tender to it?

Not clear what you are trying to accomplish. When you ask about disconnecting the battery, are you trying to use the Battery Tender to hold the volatile memory of the PCM and the radio security system, while the battery is removed? Or are you try to use the wiring between the cig lighter and the battery to connect the Battery Tender to the battery to maintain the charge?

Refresh my memory.... what year car do you have?

I just hook up the tender to the battery and leave it connected to the car.
