Is this amp ok?
Ok. I think I'm ready to purchase an amp for my my system, but would like to get your opinions on this one. I want to push about 400-500watts to my 10" L7 solo baric. Here are the specs of the Alpine MRV-T420

I don't like saying this, but ttt http://web.camaross.com/bb/tongue.gif
oh, and my L7 solo baric is a dual 4 ohm [This message has been edited by Omega9 (edited August 01, 2002).] |
That amp won't provide enough power for that sub. You will have to wire it for 8 ohms and that will mean approx. half the rated power than at 4ohms bridged.
Look into something class D like maybe a JBL 600.1 off e-bay. ------------------ '96 Firebird Formula M6 Performance Custom cut-out, Homemade 4" CAI with 9" cone filter, !CAGS, TB Bypass, Energy Suspension Trans.
