Alpine Type-R's vs. Polk Momo's
Alpine Type-R's vs. Polk Momo's
Well, I THOUGHT I was dead set on getting some Polk Audio MMC6500 component speakers for my doors. BUT now im thinking about the Alpine Type-R's for up there. I can save about 70 dollars going with the Type-R's over the Polks. I know White Rascal has the Type-R's and seems rather happy with them, but what im wondering is if the Polks warrant the extra 70 dollars? Also, does anyone of any audio stores that sell the MMC6500's, so i can demo them myself? I think I know where i can demo some Type-R's. Also, how big are the Type-R crossovers compared to the Polks? Id like to put them under myseats and the Polks, from the pictures, look huge compared to the Alpines. Many thanks!

Re: Alpine Type-R's vs. Polk Momo's
Ok IMO The Alpine Type R's are in the same class as the Polk DBs. Putting the Polk MOMOs in there own class. Personally I would spend the extra money for the momo's the crossover will deff fit under the seats no problem. I find the momos to be much smoother and have much nicer mid bass. While circuit city doesnt sell them try a few local circuit citys employees are allowed to get them factory direct so someone in car audio should have a pair in there car. Hell 4 ppl at my local circuit city have em

I work at the Kildeer store its near Rand Road & 53. Just let me know so I can make sure someone is there so you can hear them. I would be running MOMOs but I have depth clearance issues in my DD so the DBs it is. I used to be hardcore Alpine and switched over to POLK once I heard them. There new SR line is crazy
