Alpine CDA-7892 wiring question...

Ok I just finished up the wiring on my alpine radio, I just wanted to make sure everything is ok before I go ahead and install it. It's my first time attempting an audio install so I don't want to set my car on fire by accident :P Here is a pic:

[last pic on page 5 of my cardomain page- direct link not working for some reason]

On the wiring harness, the orange wire is for illuminance which doesn't apply to my deck and the blue is for the power antenna which my car doesn't have so it's ok. From the alpine though, I'm not sure what the pink/black wire is for (says audio interrupt on the label) or the blue/black wire (remote turn on to amp or eq) so I just taped it up. Am I good to go?

Thanks in advance.

I believe(but am not entirely sure)that the 'audio interupt' is for auto mute when your phone rings. Some decks are set up for this and I believe alpine is too. Never used it or hooked it up and I believe they only work with certain carriers.

The 'remote' line is for, as it says, an amp. This sends power to tell the amp to turn on when the deck turns on so it isn't on all the time. If you have no amp, taping it off should be fine. I would probably cut the bare wire off and then tape it just to be sure it doesn't hit anything.

Ok thanks, I installed the radio now. The thing is though I disconnected my positive battery terminal before starting because I removed my PCM to be tuned at the same time. Do you think it would be ok to reconnect the battery just to see if the radio works? Would I be able to do that or do I absolutely have to have the PCM to turn the key to the ON position?

You'll be allright in turning the key to test the stereo, it should work, but it may not... you won't hurt anything though...
