Ok, so I'm thinking that I have a major wiring issue somewhere in my 96 z28. This is a very confusing situation(or atleast I think so) so i'll try to be as clear as possible. First I noticed issues with my brake lights. My driver side brake light was out so I thought it was just a bulb. I changed out the bulbs and the light still did not work. I checked the fuses, and they're fine. Then I noticed at random times it would come on. The passenger side works 90% of the time but still goes out occasionally. The 3rd brake light under the spoiler works fine. So, I started thinking there was a short in the wiring somewhere in the brake lights. But, whenever I turn my lights on, ALL the lights in back of the car comes on and STAYS on. I'm not just talking about my driving lights, but BOTH brake lights work and stays on constantly. It looks like I drive around with my foot on the brake pedal. I didn't have the money at the time to get it fixed so I just had to deal with it. BUT, the other night I was driving back from a friends house and ALL my lights turned off except for my head lights. My tail lights, fog lights, signal lights, and my dash board lights all went out! Whenever I lock my car with my keypad all the lights come on like they should. So now I'm thinking that my switch that goes to my lights is bad. I'm really confused by this and I really need some help.
