'94 Delco Bose CD unit works but doesn't
Turns on, everything works except no sound, yet I can hear the speakers are on and have wattage going through them. It has a little bit of sound on the very last notch of the volume ****.
I took it to the salvage yard and had them let me try another GM unit, this time from a Firebird, non-Bose cassette only and it worked great. Sound out of the speakers and everything.
So my speakers work, and I'm pretty sure the Delco Bose was the original head unit for my Z28. Are these units known to go bad?
Help.

Bose has a different set up, at least in my corvette it did. Bose seems to use an external amp to run the speakers.
